I recently purchased a tube of E6000 (strong glue). I've been wanting to test it out on something.
While perusing the dollar store I found a plate that I liked and a candle stick that could help turn the plate into a cake stand. I really like cake stands... and cake.
I didn't like the clear 'crystal' glass on the bottom.
A coat of black spray paint was all that the candle holder needed.
I dabbed a little E6000 on the bottom of the plate and the top of the candlestick.
Next I put the top of the candle stick in the glue on the plate, making sure to center it.
The glue takes about 24 hours to completely dry.
Done, now I have a new cake stand that cost under $2.50 to make.
Where's the cake?

This is so beautiful! I am in love with frugal and creative magic at the Dollar Tree! Thank you for sharing!
