I took a break and now I'm back etching again. I thought Molly, MsNotSoPottyTrained, needed a personalized jar for her dog treats.
- a glass jar
- alphabet stickers
- etching cream (I got mine at Hobby Lobby)
- tape (I used 2" packing tape)
What you do:
Make sure the jar is clean and dry.
Attach stickers to the glass spelling out whatever word or name you'd like. Press the stickers down well.
Using the tape make a frame around your word or name. Press the tape down well.
Etching cream needs to be shaken a lot before use. So shake that baby! Then brush the cream on the area that you wish to etch. Be generous, if it is applied too thin your pattern could look uneven or streaked!
Let the etching cream do it's etching magic for about 5 minutes.
Wash the etching cream completely off with lots of running water.
Remove all of the stickers and tape from jar.
Fill with a treat!
Enjoy!
May I please have another?
PS- Etching cream is an acid and will etch whatever it touches. Protect your working area and yourself!

How cute and sweet!! Visiting from Tip Junkie. I've never used etching cream before; may have to give it a try. :)shaunna
