Small Town 4th of July

A small town Fourth Of July parade is one of my favorite things. My Bestie says they're like a box of chocolates... you never know what you're gonna get. Our parade involves children lining the street to catch candy and various trinkets.

There are no professional floats in our parade, not even remotely close. But we do have kids on 4 wheelers squirting water guns and pulling beer cans...

church ladies in the back of trailers followed by church men on mopeds...

funny cars...

cool cars...

and very...

scary clowns (this poor guy was melting in the extreme heat). Bestie's youngest child actually screamed, "Clown go bye bye!"
OK so some of the kids might need a little therapy after the parade but it's a not-to-be-missed event in our town for sure!
