A Spoonful of Honey Helps the Garlic Go Down

I have been around sick kids all week, therefore I now have a cold. My nose is runny, my throat is scratchy and sore. I've taken numerous medicines and nothing seems to help. I am desperate and will try just about anything to get some relief.

Hello garlic & honey!

Did you know that people use garlic to relieve all sorts of symptoms including the common cold? Honey is often used to treat a cough by coating and soothing an irritated throat. That's right! I'm going to eat swallow a spoonful of garlic&honey.

I put some honey in a spoon.

Next, I pressed a clove of garlic on the honey.

Then, I covered the garlic with more honey.

Yep, I swallowed it all. Don't worry... I can't taste anything anyway.
