Marinated Mozzarella Balls

Did I ever mention I had an Italian Grandmother? She was very nice to me and taught me about food and shopping. She was a wonderful cook and made the best Italian dishes. For some unknown reason though, she hated garlic. She could tell if something had been cooked in a pan that had once contained garlic.  It was not fun going to a restaurant with her! Grandma would have sent this mozzarella back.

These little bites of mozzarella make a perfect appetizer. This recipe is simple, delicious and repels against vampires & Grandma.

What you need:
  • 3 tablespoons fresh herbs coarsely minced. I used a combination of basil, thyme, and oregano (Use whatever herbs suit your fancy.)
  • 1 clove of garlic minced
  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 8 oz. ciliegine mozzarella balls drained
  1. Combine all ingredients in a zip-lock bag and refrigerate for a few hours to overnight.
  2. Let come to room temperature before serving.
