A long, long, time ago my mom, Nana, taught me how to make brown sugar. It's easy, it tastes better than store bought, and it's cheaper. Let me show you how it's done.
What you need:
What you do:
- Mix sugar and molasses in a bowl or zip-lock bag. Mix with an electric mixer, food processor, pastry cutter, a fork, or right in the zip-lock bag.
- Store in an air tight container or the zip-lock bag. Easy!

You can increase or decrease the amount of molasses you use to make the brown sugar darker or lighter.
